• To load network in VisANT for further analysis (e.g., to integrate protein-protein interaction), click link at left side.
  • Click the icon at the right side to see the full-size image in a new window
  • Loading the network may be slow, we suggest you start from Level 10.
  • Gray edges represent the link of shared components.
  • The edge is dynamic, it disappears when the two meta-nodes are both expanded
  • Using MetNetwork menu to expand/collapse all meta-nodes (may be slow if the meta-node has many interior nodes)
  • The label of the edge can be turned off by Selecting all edges under Edit menu, then select the Edge Property under Edges menu, unselect the checkbox Label
  • Dashed/Solid line is determined by the the option "Fine Arts" under Option menu. When the option is on, the edge weight is in red color
  • The label "6(0.04)" indicates that there are 6 shared components of two meta-nodes with weight 0.04. The weight is calculated by 6/Min (number of interior nodes), see paper for detail.

  • Expanding some meta-nodes with high number of interior nodes may be very slow as VisANT needs to recalculate the meta-edges (avoid expanding meta-node if there are interior mores more than 500, mouse-over to see the number).
  • Network in some of screen-shorts are laid out using Elegant layout while all live networks above are laid out using circular layout.

  • Same as the above networks of GO molecular functions
  • Turn off option Fine Arts under Option menu if you feel slow to manipulate the network in VisANT
  • Network in some of screen-shorts are laid out using either Spring Embedded (level 6-7) or Elegant layout (level 8-10)  while all live networks above are laid out using circular layout
